How did the great war affect the cancer treatment in Ukraine: scientists present the results of the study!

On January 30 at 4:00 p.m., we invite you to the online presentation of the study "Access to cancer treatment during the Great War".

The non-governmental organization GMKA in cooperation with Inspiration Family, OncoHUB and the National Cancer Institute conducted a study, the purpose of which is to analyze the availability and quality of medical care for cancer patients in the context of modern conditions and challenges, in particular, in conditions of war.

After the presentation of the research results, there will be a panel discussion with specialists in the field of adult oncology with the participation of doctors and the patient community.

Panel discussion participants:

  • Nelya Melnychuk is the founder of GMKA, a surgeon-oncologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston, USA), a professor at the Department of Surgery at Harvard Medical School
  • Daryna Kizub is the head of the GMKA oncology department, a doctor at the Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, USA)
  • Andriy Beznosenko — candidate of medical sciences, head of the scientific and clinical department of thoraco-abdominal oncology, National Cancer Institute
  • Anna Uzlova is the director and co-founder of the Inspiration Family support fund for adult cancer patients

Moderator of the discussion: Kateryna Bulavinova, medical expert of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine.
